To provide a consistent and harmonious community, a landscaping strategy has been formulated. The strategy considers the past and present influences of the area and forms connections between the open green space and the urban environment.
The sustainable re-use of onsite materials such as Bluestone forms a major element of the hard landscape. The planting of pohutukawa trees along the boulevards, mimics the original lava flows, that helped to form the foundations of Stonefields.
